Surfers were sitting outside taking off on mushy waves and chop hopping through to the inside, then paddling back out without a smile on their face.

All the while we were on the inside hooting and hollering at each other after pulling into one barrel after another.

We like to call picking up all the left over stoke "recycled stoke" and that is what we are trying to give to you.

Being that we build these handplanes out of scrap woods that we come across each one is going to be unique.

So the handplane pictured is not the one you'll get.

When you get a Salty handplane we include a little tag made from used grocery bags that explains each type of wood used in the handplane and the wood's characteristics and uses.

We will also throw in some Salty stickers and pins.

You will notice the option to include a bag with your handplane.

Shelby Ling, our good friend, sews all these together with old clothes or blankets she finds at thrift stores.

They are a pretty bitchin' way to keep your handplane protected. Being that it is gonna be in your car every time you head to the beach.
