SUP Cork Traction Pad

SUP Cork Deckpad

Cork cells display what is known as elastic memory---when compressed they return to their original size---great for stomp pads and ours have been tested by the best.

Most deck pads are made out of non environmentally friendly EVA plastic (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate).

We first tested recycled EVA pads but they didn't hold up well, they were a bit soft and didn't quite offer the right consistency.
SUP Cork Traction Pad
After trying several different alternatives we came across CORK.

After making and testing a cork + eva composite we were very pleased with the results and you will be too.

Other companies were impressed too and so they copied us, we are flattered.

Support the company that was first!

Yea you do!

But what is also important is that these pads work. Right?

One thing we really like is that the edges are soft, but not too soft.

So your knees don't get all ripped up in warm water.

However, the pad is hard enough to make your turns and airs the best they can be.

The other cool thing is that cork repels water.

Why is this important?

Cause excess water stays off your pad and thus your tail stays lighter, offering more performance ease and speed for your sick turns.

Dude. Look, we know you like rainbow colors and pictures of gorillas on your pad, but dude did you know that to make those colors companies have to use KARLY inks and dyes?

Colors really mean more toxicity in the environment.

Didn't think of that did you.

You can get creative and draw something nice on the pad yourself. Be original, the chicks like that better anyway.

Great Pad! October 23, 2015
Reviewer: Roger B. from San Diego, CA United States
I bought this pad to top a Firewire TT surfboard. I figured the natural appearance of the cork would blend well with the paulownia of the board. I had to cut it down for size, but the pad looks and feels great. I only rate it as a 4 because the "Solace" emblem clashes with the "Wave Tribe" emblem, and is so large that it can't be missed.

Performance-wise, the pad is great, plenty of grip to make turns. No excessive weight. A really great pad!

Great, Grippy Pads August 31, 2015
Reviewer: Gregory from Chicago, IL United States
I bought two sets of Cord Deck Pads at the beginning of the summer for two custom wood SUP boards I built myself. I've been using them all summer long and love them! The pads look great (especially on a wood board), have a great feel with LOTS of grip. Install was easy and there are no signs of the adhesive losing its stickiness. Talked to some really great people at Solace and Wave Tribe along the way—awesome experience all around. Love supporting companies with people behind them who believe in something.

Sup cork deck pad December 17, 2014
Reviewer: robert brydges from Alexandra, Central Otago New Zealand
Hi Derek

I haven't received the cork deck pad as yet. Though not too surprised as it generally takes a couple of extra days for deliveries to reach the South Island of New Zealand. Would you pass the details so I may check on the status of the delivery. Thanks mate

Rob Brydges
