Hello good folks of Wave Tribe. I'm writing to personally 'thank you' for donating to Shell Beach Surf Shop's raffle, a 9' 6" Pioneer Surfboard Bag.
As you may have guessed, I'm the lucky winner.
But I was not always so lucky!
Just two months ago, I was borrowing friends boards, trying to make it out once a week with my wife and son—basically paddle around as we gained some hours underneath our feet.
And we'd still be riding foam if it were not for 'Stu' at Shell Beach Surf Shop, who took us under his wing, gave us some lessons, and generally corrected my thinking about surfing.
See, I thought surfing would be a great way to watch over my son as he entered his teenage years; turns out it's even a better way to grow our lives closer together for a lifetime, and be closer to our community in the meantime.
So today I'm glad to say that with Stu and Shell Beach Surf Shop's help, my wife and I recently took possession of our beautiful new boards, perfect in design for where we want to go with our surfing, and equally important, another custom shaped board is on its way for our 13 year old son.
With Luke's quick learning curve and Stu's continued guidance, I can't wait to see the shape of this board when it comes in. I now know that the right equipment can make soooo much difference.
Which bring me back to your bag! I'm looking at it right now! It is so well built.
The seams on this bag are bullet-proof. Incredibly strong and thick hemp, nothing gets through to my board.
All recycled materials for the remainder of construction let's me know that there are companies out there that can BOTH build the best product AND be environmentally aware at the same time.
Wave Tribe, you made absolutely no concession in the building of this product.
I trust you Wave Tribe. So much so, Stu said the next time I'm down at the shop, we need to talk about a Wave Tribe surf board rack, which is a 'no-brainer'.
Because now that I'm The Luckiest Guy in the World—having won your bag!
