Steve's Mini Simmons Hollow Balsa Board

The balsa board is:

• 5’3” L
• 21” W
• 18” nose
• 2 1/2" thick
• 14.5” tail (at the very end).

Steve glassed the board with s-cloth and epoxy. 

Steve got a lot of his information from MiniSimmonsSurfboard.com and Keel Nation. Both resources have a lot of history, design and instructions. It pointed him to additional sources to assist me as well—he even used Derek's video on how to place my fins.

He did a 4 ounce on the bottom, 4 ounce deck patch and 4 ounce top layer with epoxy resin. The hot coat was epoxy and gloss coat is polyester resin. Steve wrote in to say after he order a Mini Simmons Boardbag for his new sleed:

"Your board bag is really cool, that is why I took some pictures with both board and bag. Once again, thank you for hooking me up with a great blank and bag."

We are stoked that Steve had such an awesome experience and we look forward to seeing him shred in the water.
