Hemp: The Power Plant

 Twenty-five years ago, 70 to 90 percent of all rope, twine, cordage, ship sails, canvas, fiber, and cloth was made out of hemp fiber. In 2007 Wave Tribe started bringing back the awesomeness of hemp to the surf industry. At the end of its life-cycle hemp goes back into the earth and decomposes—it will not rot in landfills for the next thousand years or float next to you in the ocean while you paddle for your next wave. It's organic, it's tough and it's stylish.
